Core Construction & Technology
Outer KL-c Hybrid Weave: The KL-c layer combines the rebound and rigidity of carbon fiber with the tensile strength and vibration-dampening properties of aramid (Kevlar-type) fibers. Sitting right beneath the surface, it activates immediately on impact, significantly enlarging the sweet spot and minimizing energy loss.
Koto Outer Plies: Unlike the softer Limba wood used on the Inner model, the KL-c Outer uses crisp, hard Koto wood. This imparts a lower, flatter trajectory and a sharper "click" on contact, making counter-attacks and flat hits much punchier.
Playing Characteristics
Counter-Looping & Punching: Excels in close-to-the-table exchanges and rapid back-and-forth rallies. The outer carbon layer provides instant feedback, allowing you to redirect incoming power with minimal swing exertion.
Trajectory: Produces a flatter, more penetrating arc compared to inner-carbon blades. Shots stay low over the net and shoot off the table upon bouncing, making blocks and counter-drives difficult for opponents to handle.
Passive Play & Blocking: Exceptionally stable against heavy incoming spin. The stiffer outer structure resists twisting on off-center hits, enabling crisp, punchy blocks and active punch-returns.
