Dr Neubauer Matador Titan Table Tennis Blade
The Dr. Neubauer Matador Titan is an asymmetric 9-ply composite table tennis blade specifically engineered for aggressive combination attackers who demand powerful forehand looping paired with maximum disruptive control on the backhand.
Performance Characteristics
Disruptive Backhand Control: The combination of hard outer plies and Texalium generates high spin reversal and a low, sinking trajectory when blocking or chop-blocking with long pimples or anti-spin rubbers.
Aggressive Forehand Power: The hard surface and titanium mesh reinforcement provide high stability and speed for opening topspins, counter-loops, and decisive smashes.
Speed Absorption: Excellent block stability against heavy loops without unpredictable rebound spikes on passive shots.
Rubber Pairings: Works exceptionally well with frictionless anti-spin rubbers (such as the Dr. Neubauer A-B-S series) or short/long pimples on the backhand, and medium-to-hard offensive inverted rubbers on the forehand.
Key Specifications & Construction
Ply Composition: 9 plies total (7 wood plies + 2 synthetic fiber layers).
Asymmetric Fiber Layers: Uses a titanium layer on the forehand side for aggressive speed and topspin power, paired with a Texalium layer on the backhand side to optimize control and dampening.
Outer Plies: Hard outer wood plies that provide direct, crisp ball contact.
Speed Rating: OFF to OFF- (provides higher gears on heavy impact while retaining ALL-round touch on soft touch/passive shots).
Weight: Approx. 90 g – 94 g.
Thickness: Approx. 6.0 mm.
Dimensions: Approx. 15.7 cm (length) × 15.3 cm (width).
Handle Types: Available in Flared (FL), Straight (ST), and Anatomic (AN).
